Landlord and tenant
Every solicitor in the team is proficient in handling leases of commercial property, whether acting for landlord or tenant. We also handle the renewal procedures under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 and are able to refer contentious renewals to a specialist solicitor in our Commercial Litigation & Dispute resolution team.
Landlord and Tenant Law is an area which is constantly changing and every solicitor in the department regularly attends lectures and seminars to keep right up to date on the current law and thinking.
We have also in recent years run our own seminars for the benefit of clients, surveyors and others in the property industry on current topics of interest. A couple of years ago we provided several speakers for the RICS Regional Conference on business leases.
Our precedent documentation is updated on-line and so we are always working from the most up to date forms.
