For potential sellers, an exit strategy can be formulated in conjunction with other professional advisers including a client’s bankers and accountants, and other specialists in financial planning and trusts and succession planning. For example, a unified strategy might include a pre-sale reorganisation.
In the past 12 months the M&A team has successfully completed a wide variety of deals. These include transactions worth several million pounds in the motor, leisure, retail, media, technology and recruitment sectors, but the team is equally at home in other areas of industry.
Transactions are also undertaken in cases of business insolvency, where there is long experience of acting for either insolvency practitioners or buyers.
