Join us for an update on the Employment Bill, the new ACAS Code of Practice and the new Sex Discrimination Act 1975 (Amendment) Regulations 2008.
These two pieces of employment legislation will have a significant impact on HR practice.
The Employment Bill will repeal the existing statutory dismissal and grievance procedures and introduce a new system. Also, under the new system, tribunals will be given powers to increase awards of compensation by up to 25% for failure to comply with the new ACAS Code of Practice.
The new Sex Discrimination Regulations introduces changes to the law of harassment and the law on pregnancy and maternity.
